David Blue is a Managing Director, Strategic Planning for Hardin Compliance Consulting.  During his more than 25-year career, Mr. Blue has been responsible for corporate development and valuation activities for companies in the financial services, investment management, energy and healthcare industries.  He has served in an operations and finance capacity, responsible for development and implementation of operational improvements and new business initiatives to drive growth and value creation.  David has extensive experience in identifying and evaluating growth opportunities for a variety of companies, and one of his primary responsibilities is developing strategic initiatives and identifying business combinations for Hardin Compliance.

Before coming to Hardin Compliance, David served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Extremity Imaging Partners, Inc., a medical imaging firm with a regional presence.  His responsibilities included directing operations, and identifying and evaluating synergistic growth opportunities, including acquisitions. From 1999-2001, David was Vice President of Investments where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluation, execution and monitoring investments for an investment subsidiary of Duquesne Light with more than $150 million under management focused on alternative energy related tax-advantaged investments.  From 1994 to 1999, David was Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Development of Mellon Financial.  His responsibilities included corporate development for Mellon’s investment management subsidiaries including mutual funds, private wealth advisers, institutional managers and global asset managers.

Mr. Blue is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

David received his B.A. in political science from Georgetown University in 1983, and played basketball all four years for the Hoyas.  He received his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – Kenan-Flagler Business School (1990).
